Bob Mamet is an internationally acclaimed Jazz pianist and composer. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, he attended the prestigious Peabody Conservatory before heading west to Los Angeles to begin a career as a composer and studio musician. Over the next several years, he composed music for over a hundred projects in T.V. film, and advertising in addition to touring as bandleader and accompaniest.

Bob's distinctive mixture of Jazz styles and composition caught the ear of the major record labels, and in 1994 he signed with Atlantic Records. Bob recorded three highly successful albums for Atlantic, plus additional recordings for Sony and Warner Brothers.

His collaborations with artists such as Alex Acuna, Larry Carlton, Eric Marienthal, Gerald Albright, David Benoit and many other top artists led Jazziz Magazine to proclaim Bob as a "brilliant composer" who gives his players "an intelligent, thoughtful, and vibrant musical landscape in which to work."

During this period, Bob released a string of hit records, garnering extensive radio airplay worldwide. Most notable among was "Greenstreet," a hybrid of acoustic and contemporary Jazz idioms. Greenstreet topped the charts for 7 weeks, and today remains a fixture in the United States and worldworld on the radio.

Bob has played sold out shows from large festivals to renowned Jazz clubs, incorporating vibrant and diverse styles into his acoustic piano performances.

He has been described as a "master of melody and structure" by The San Francisco Chronicle; "adventurous… sparkling… intriguing" by Jazz Times Magazine; and the Chicago Sun Times calls him simply "The Natural."

In 2010 Bob re-invented his sound and style, returning to his acoustic Jazz roots and forming the Bob Mamet Trio with Joe LaBarbera and Darek Oles. The Trio released the critically acclaimed CD Impromptu which became a worldwide sensation on straight ahead Jazz radio and a Bestseller on Amazon and CD Baby. In addition to garnering rave reviews in the Jazz press, Impromptu was featured prominently on Sirius XM Radio's Real Jazz channel and peaked at #2 on the North American Jazz charts.

Bob Mamet’s brand new CD “London House Blues” is set for release Summer 2014 on the BluJazz label. Featuring original compositions as well as standards and classics from the Great American Songbook and Post-Bop eras, the album serves as a tribute to the famed artists who frequented the legendary Chicago Jazz club in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.

“London House Blues” features top Chicago Jazzmen Larry Gray and Paul Wertico. "Chicago Sessions" recording artist Larry Gray is considered one of Jazz music's finest double bassists, and the first choice for national and international touring artists performing in the Windy City.

Seven time Grammy Award winner Paul Wertico began his career as the masterful drummer for the Pat Metheny
Group, and has emerged as one of the most dynamic and respected Jazz innovators in the country.

The album takes the listener on a journey through the Chicago Jazz scene back in the day when pianists like Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, and George Shearing would hold court. While staying true to its Jazz roots, Mamet, Gray, and Wertico weave their own inventive interplay into the mix, creating a sound that is at once modern and classic.
