In 2010 Bob formed the Bob Mamet Trio with Darek Oles and Joe LaBarbera. They released an Acoustic Jazz tour-de-force called Impromptu. Featuring 10 original compositions and a vibrant lyrical sound, the album spent 15 weeks on the National Jazz charts, peaking at #2 in North America.

Darek Oles brings to the recording his round, expressive bass style that garnered him the title of top European Bassist in several Jazz polls there. And the legendary Joe LaBarbera’s artistry is on full display, just as it was when he was the young drummer of the Bill Evans Trio back in the day.
